Parents of Platinum Pineapple

Pineapple is named after the fresh, tropical pineapple taste and aroma on this strong USA variety. The pineapple strain used is the original “unknown pineapple” from the 80s. Many generations of inbreeding stabilized the sturdy structure and amplified the sweet tropical pineapple presence. There is also a scent of kush in the buds.

Platinum OG is an Indica-leaning strain bred by the Northern California-based Apothecary Genetics. The strain is reportedly a cross of Master Kush, OG Kush, and a third strain of the purps variety – which some believe to be Mendocino Purps, though this is unconfirmed. Apothecary Genetics currently lists their Platinum OG strain as an inbred backcross line (IBL) with an OG Kush male.
